Get Speaking English confidently, fluently, and accurately! Conversation classes are for students who've been studying English for a while and are looking to practice in a safe, non-judgmental space with some guidance and support.
Many students use conversations to practice speaking about things they've been studying on their own or with other teachers. They sometimes also use them for practicing in addition to taking other English lessons with me.

Who are conversations for?
Conversations are for students who already have at least a B1 level in English (low-intermediate) and want to practice. We'll talk about subjects that are relevant and interesting to you so you can feel more confident when speaking English in the real world. Conversations can be based on articles from my Conversation Class Series, other articles, or exam-style questions (for IELTS, B2 First, C1 Advanced). Many students use these classes to practice speaking about topics they've been studying independently or with other teachers. Others use them to complement private lessons with me.
While I’ll provide feedback and highlight recurring grammatical errors, the main goal is to help you build fluency. If you’d like to work more intensively on grammar, pronunciation, or writing, private lessons are a better fit.
After each conversation, you will receive:
Detailed notes with corrections, suggestions, and feedback.
A link to the lesson recording for additional review.
Students who book multiple lessons (5 or 10) receive:
A Google Folder shared with me for all your notes

Students are also encouraged to join the Telegram groups for more opportunities to learn and practice between classes.
How to participate:
Lessons happen on Zoom and I share my screen.
For the best experience, please use a computer or tablet and be in a space without distractions and noise.

How will I book?

Once you've booked, you'll use a link to book your sessions through Calendly, an appointment website.
How long are packages good for?
Unless stated otherwise, packages of 10 expire after 180 days (6 months) and packages of 5 expire after 90 days (3 months).
Why are your lessons only 50/25 minutes long?
I schedule a short break between each class so I have time to organize students' notes, assign homework, send follow-up emails, update my own notes, and get ready for the next class. I find this practice helps me be a better teacher and deliver better classes. Sometimes classes go slightly longer if nothing is immediately scheduled afterwards.
I want a lesson on the same day each week. Can I do this instead?
Yes, just let me know how many you'd like each week and I will invoice you directly through PayPal or Stripe. We will use a permanent meeting link in Zoom for our classes.

Bookings must be paid for in advance. Any cancellations/rescheduling must be done no later than 24 hours before the start time. See your booking confirmation for rescheduling options or getspeakingenglish@gmail.com to change the time and date of your lesson. No refunds in the case of no-shows or late cancellations. Anyone who does not arrive within the first 15 minutes of a call will be considered a no-show and payment will not be refunded. No refunds on completed sessions. For packages of 10 sessions: sessions must be used within 180 days (6 months) of the date of purchase. For packages of 5 sessions: sessions must be used within 90 days (3 months) of the date of purchase. No refunds on expired lessons. All packages can be cancelled at any time. In the case of cancellation, the full amount (without discounts) will be charged for sessions used by the student.
